where the streets have no name

Well this is actually a lane, but anyway. We took the kids to the Christmas Carnivale in the Mall last night. It was great. The streets were closed off, and all the activities were free.

Jai and Ardy miraculously survived the Jumping Castle unscaved. We saw Rebecca and Abby having fun as well.

Jai was determined to go on the horses back, because 'the cart was for little kids and adults' he said. So we had to let other people go in front of us in the line. Eventually we made it.

It was a bit bumpy but he said, 'Í was telling myself to just think of what Woody (from Toy Story), would do.'

We went to U2 on wednesday in Melbourne.
It was awesome to spend the day together, with no kids, and no thoughts of the obligations that go along with the silly season. Just the two of us.

The weather was worse than home though. It didn't matter too much we were mostly inside shopping or running for a tram.
We booked in for a Thai massage after lunch. It was really good. The women are so petite, but so incredibly strong. I was actually bruised on my back the next day. But I needed a strong massage to get all of the tension out of my shoulders.

I didn't take or camera into the stadium because a). I wanted to be sure it wouldn't get taken off me, and b). I wanted to enjoy the show, undistracted.
So sorry I didn't get any pics of the freaky space-ship-stage set, or Jay-Z and Kanye, who were awesome, or any of the fantastic lights show.
I'm so glad we decided to go instead of selling the tickets, it was so worth it.

The place we stayed was also really good, and had a great location. Thanks Brett for the recommendation.

The roof couldn't be closed completely because the top of the space ship was too tall. Luckily it didn't rain when the show was on.
