Orrin's Baptism

And here we go over on the boat to Kerang, country Victoria for squils Baptism. I'm so proud of him, he is an awesome brother to us all, and a great Uncle to the kids.

The kids loved being in the van. We had to keep on sending Jai over the back to get the babies their bottles.

The wait for departure out of Devonport was atrocious. However, because we were a little late, we got bumped to the front of the line. I did feel a little bad for the people who had been lining up since 6am.

Thank you so much Bobbi for the up-grade to the porthole cabins, it would have been awful to wait around on the boat with no where to retreat to with the kids for a rest before our big drive to Kerang. Jai won the facepainting competition that was put on for the kids.

We made it. It was about 1am Saturday morning by the time we got there.

Little Athletics . . . ahh, that brings back memories, doesn't it?
The kids won everything, so well done guys!

I'm giving Tia some hints on throwing the Discus, which was one of my specialties in the junior years.

Saturday 6th March Orrin's Baptism

It was a special moment for everyone when Steve and Orrin were wading out into the lake. Orrin has a wonderful innocense and trusting nature. It was a really nice service, even though we stood in clay mud, with the rain falling around us.

Happy Belated Birthday my darling baby girl...
We did celebrate her birthday already, but in my crazy circumstances, I couldn't find the camera to take pictures. Mana got some though, if that makes it any better.

Birthday Getaways

But first, here is my little Jai, all excited to go to school. He likes to dress himself and brush his own teeth because he is so big now. When he grows up he wants to look after horses for people to ride.

So my birthday is was the same as the Launceston Cup this year so we didn't around to doing too much. But the next day we went to Swansea for a little getaway. another summer camp, Jai called it. We had beautiful weather and tried to pack as many activities into the short amount of time we had.

Mana and Logan baby sat so that Tim and I could go out for dinner. It was nice to eat without the kids whinging at us, and to enjoy the uninterupted views. Tim had the trout and I had their something, something fish. I can't remember. Whatever it was it was really good, and I was completely won over by the toasted coconut salad.

Kate's Berry Farm has a lot more on it's menu these days, but was still really yummy. My favourite is the blueberry ice cream.
